Open fit/ RIC Open fit/ RIC Trial

These are tiny BTE-style devices. The sound is sent from the instrument to the ear canal via a short tube or wire. Because these aids leave the ear canal open, they are best suited for mild to moderate high-frequency hearing loss where low-frequency hearing is still normal or near normal. A hearing aid with an open fit Is less noticeable. It does not obstruct the ear canal like small in-the-canal hearing aids. It runs on relatively little batteries. Because of its modest size, it lacks manual adjustments.
